Make Room
What if the reason we are not experiencing more of God’s power is not because He is withholding it, but because we have not made room for it?
In this message, Pastor Ceci Biro continues the Holy Spirit series by teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit and the importance of creating space in our lives for God to move. Drawing from Acts 2, Ephesians 5, and Isaiah 61, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit fills those who are hungry, available, and willing to surrender.
This message invites us to:
- Make room in our lives for the Holy Spirit to move
- Remove distractions that are crowding out our relationship with God
- Stay hungry for the presence and power of God
- Understand the purpose of the Holy Spirit’s power in our lives
- Walk in the authority and freedom God has given us
The power of the Holy Spirit is not just something we experience in a moment. It is something we carry to bring freedom, healing, and the reality of God into the world around us.
As we make room, God fills. As we surrender, He empowers.
Key Scripture: Acts 2:1–4; Ephesians 5:18–19; Isaiah 61:1

Praise the Lord. Amen. Amen. Can you just give a big offering of applause to the Lord this morning? Jesus is worthy. He's worthy of all. Amen. I love the worship. How many like would you you guys felt the presence of God through the worship? Amen. I was just like, keep going, keep going, keep going. So good. I think we're super blessed to be here. And uh I was thinking last night too, I don't know. I think the Lord just reminded me of last month, I think Pastor Brent was preaching from this pulpit too. And I kind of remember that. I said, yes. I would like to say the same. Thank you, Faithful Life. You are an awesome church. My husband and I and has a family. We were blessed to be pastoring in this place. It's been what, six months now? Over six months. Um, we haven't heard of people leaving. I just gotta say it's been an amazing transition, and we know it's because of God's grace on us, but also because of the team, the leaders that we have in this house. That's why. That's why. Solid people. So I do want to honor that. Uh, and again, we're just blessed. We're just blessed to be able to serve the Lord in this place. Amen. In Saskatoon. And I was thinking, wow, it's been 16 years, almost 17 years, this October since this Latino package moved from El Salvador when I met my husband in the mission field when Adam went there when he was 18, and then some of you guys know the story. And as I always said, you always gotta be careful with those prayers. You know, as a young person, you're like, God, take me whatever you want of me. God, I'm gonna do everything for you, and you don't know what God is gonna do because he took me to the ends of the earth. That's what I always think about Saskatchewan, you know, because my husband's family, they are in Ontario. So I remember God, God is so amazing and funny sometimes. How many say I made? And you know what? What I'm saying, all this, it's because in this room I know there are many nations representing. Praise God for that. Amen. We got Africa, we got Filipino, we got, and even just from Africa, different. We got Peru, we got now a lot of Salvadorians joining our church, Mexico. Oh, Caleb said, Woo! What about Vania? You know, so I love this place, you know, Newfoundland. Tell me, tell me, okay, Brazil, Jamaica. Like, it's just amazing. South Africa, Nigeria. Oh, I heard, ooh, who was that? Egypt? Wow, Ghana. Oh, wow. Oh, there it is. Isn't this a gift? Can you say that with me? It's a gift, it's a gift, and I know many of you, like Pastor Bart, Trina, that I see here, like a lot of people, Mike, like people who are not even from Saskatchewan, raise your hands if you were not born in Saskatchewan. Just look around. I'll give you a minute. Just look around. Look around. Yeah, Greg. Wow, I didn't know Greg, you were not from Saskatchewan. Yeah, Caleb. Wow, like, like just think about for a moment, and God called us all from different places to be here with a purpose and with a reason because Saskatoon is gonna shine with the glory of God. Amen. And if you are like me, when I moved 17 years ago, you know, and again, I gotta go back to this quickly. God is amazing because God knew that this Latino could not handle it, right? The Saskatchewan weather. So God, in an amazing way, He brought me first to Ontario for only two weeks. Beautiful fall Ontario. You know, the maple leaf and the colors and everything that I saw in the magazine back in El Salvador about Canada is like, it's right there. And I'm like, yes, Lord, yes, this is what I prayed for. Take me to, you know, and then well, it's actually not where you're called to be. It's in Saskatchewan. I could not even say, like, it only took me 15 years to say Saskatchewan, to learn that, how to say it properly. And yeah, and then we drove to what? I even don't remember. It was so painful. Couple days. God, you know how God does it, he erased those memories, those hard times, right? He does it, praise the Lord for that. So, anyway, beautiful and saying bye to the family, and you know, just the maple syrup and cookies, and oh wow, and the turkey. Oh, wow, it's just beautiful. Thank you, Lord. I'm gonna serve you all the days of my life. And then we're gonna drive to Saskatchewan. And in a few days that we got here, I could not even believe it. I think God had to put that sign in front of my eyes that says Saskatoon shines because God need He knew that I needed that word, right? So I came and yeah, coming from, I even don't remember the weather, but full Ontario, beautiful, you know, no snow, nothing. And in three days we got here. And yeah, and it was like snowing and like everywhere, no leaf. And I'm like, where is Ontario again? Take me back in the map. And then God reminded me of that. You pray that, and you said, I'm gonna serve you no matter what. And that's beautiful. Why I'm saying all that, it's because when I stand here and I see you in this room, and people that are watching online to join us. And could you even believe in there? Are even people here that are joining our church in the last few weeks? And I have talked to them, and they say, I'm not even from here. I learning English and trying to understand, but I just felt the presence of God so strong in that room that I don't care if I don't understand anything else. Because God touched me, God healed me. I had an encounter with God. And I'm saying this is because when I see you and when I see myself here standing by the grace of God, it's like God is amazing, God is beautiful, and that's why God spoke those words in Jeremiah that all of you in this room know. Jeremiah 29, 11, because I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord. Amen. We are here because God's plan. And I can't just wait to see what God is gonna continue doing in this place through your family, through your faithfulness, through my family, through my life, because Saskatoon is gonna shine brighter, it's gonna shine brighter with the glory of God, with the glory of God. It's an amazing God, and I I know there are, you know, you could see around the room different people, different backgrounds, different languages. And this is why I think God is gonna talk to us about Acts 2 today, because I do want to continue building and talking about what my husband has been doing the last while, and I gotta tell you, we don't have time enough, maybe we'll do another day, just to share all the testimonies that we have been hearing from every Sunday. Hey, I've been Christian for so many years. Hey, I read the word, I have all the knowledge here, but I never encountered the Holy Spirit until that day. Things like that. I've been receiving so many testimonies of what God has been doing, and I gotta tell you, we are in the right season. No matter what the world says, no matter what the enemy says, no matter what anyone else will say, we are in the season of God moving in the earth. God is moving, and if God is moving, the church is moving. I gotta say it one more time. If God is moving, the church has to move. If God is doing something new, I gotta join God and say, God, here I am. Shake what you have to shake in me. Change what you have to change in me. And I was talking to this lady the other day, and I I was almost with tears. I think it's important just hearing this testimony, she's from here, and she was saying this to me. She was saying, Sassy, like I'm experiencing I've been Christian for so many years, but I'm experiencing the Holy Spirit in waves that I've never, never in my life, but I do believe because it's the last outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the earth. Amen. So we have been learning about the Holy Spirit. The first sermon, it was about the promise. The second sermon, it was about the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. How do we see it? You know, back and forth. Then again, Pastor Adam talk about the Holy Spirit as a person, right? That we're all not only pray for the gift, we don't only, you know, God, God, he is a person. How many agree with me with that? Amen. Holy Spirit, say with me, Holy Spirit is God. He is God and He's a person. So today I want to talk about the power of the Holy Spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit. How many believe that we could use more power of the Holy Spirit? How many agree that you need more power of the Holy Spirit? And in the next few minutes, here, by the God's grace, here, I'm gonna teach you why do we need the power of the Holy Spirit? Why does the Bible talk about the power of the Holy Spirit? And before we do that, I don't know if you you can put up there the slide that we made last night. And this is what I felt from the Lord that in order to do that, we need to make room for him. Say with me, make room. And in John 3.30, it says like this. I'm reading from the New King James Version, and it says, This is John talking about Jesus, and he says, He must increase, but I must decrease. I want to say it one more time. John said it in John 3.30, talking about Jesus. He must increase, but I must decree. And I love that. Because in order to carry the power of God, in order to receive that empowerment of God, we need to make room for Him. And I just gonna put it in this way. I don't know if you can well go back and put that picture. We're trying to, you know, put a title there, make room. And this is the image and the picture that I got when I was preparing for today. You know, spring is coming. I'm excited for spring. Yeah, spring is coming. Believe it or not, spring is coming. So the other day, you know, I was walking around, and then I just I could see how Sony stores, you know, when a new season is coming, they start just, you know, making what clearance, right? They go on sales and they start saying like spring sell, summer sell, fall sale. Don't don't be quiet because I know girls, you go shop a lot. Amen. You know what I'm talking about. So, and it's quite interesting to see that because for a store to get the new products out to displace and sell, they need to get rid of the all. There is no room in that store to accommodate the all, maybe still on you know, on style, on fashion, right? But in order for that to say, I gotta get people's attention because I need to put the new stuff out, I need to put this thing that says spring cell, come and take it, come and take it. So the owners of that place they know that they need to make room for the new, and that's exactly the same with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the power of God in a believer. God wants to put it out, but if we're too full of ourselves or something else, there's no room for God to do it. It's until the moment that you and I say, you know what, God, check, do the inventory that you have to do in me, and whatever is taking too much room, take it out, is out, out, so your spirit and your power can come out. Come on, say someone says amen to that. Because sometimes we pray for the power of the Holy Spirit, we pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we pray for the things of God in us, but if there's something else in our life that is taking too much room in us, it's kind of like saying, God, come back next season. And I don't know about you, I don't know about you, Taylor, but I'm not waiting for next season. I want God to do a now. I'm ready for the now. I want God to heal us now. I I want God to move in our nation now. I want God to see touching families in people being restored, is the now. Say with me, it's not until next season. Make room. As a church, as a believer, we need to make room for the move of God. And last Sunday he spoke about Pastor Aaron, he spoke about the grieving of the Holy Spirit, the quenching of the Holy Spirit that we don't like, and all the different, you know, things that sometimes we do to stopping. But that's what I'm feeling, this word that the Lord delivered to my heart, you know, this couple days ago. And it's like we need to make room for him. Make room for him. And if you're married here, you're gonna understand what I'm gonna say. And if you're not married yet, well, receive it because you are gonna apply it soon. I remember uh when I moved from El Salvador and you know, marry my husband and go to Guatemala, and we just have built this little house. He doesn't know what I'm gonna say this, but I even don't know if he knows the whole thing, but I'm gonna okay, just wait. So I remember, you know, he's exciting. I'm gonna receive my bride, I'm gonna make room in this little house. So, in that little bachelor room that we built, uh, we have this only one closet. That was it. Missionaries, there's nothing else in that house, just a little room with our bed, the bathroom, not even a kitchen, I will say it, and then just that closet. And I remember he's being so excited, talking to me about I'm gonna get this kind of wood, you know, this is how it's gonna look like, you know, this, and talking and talking about the the all excited, right? And I said, Yeah, sure, no, that's awesome. And I I agree with the closet idea, amen. I need it. So, but he didn't know how much I was gonna bring from El Salvador, right? Married couples, you know what I'm talking about. So there it is. I show up to Guatemala where he was living. And then I look at that closet and it looks so nice. And I'm like, then he went to Bible college that morning, he had to teach, and I'm like, yeah, don't worry, I'll figure it out, I'll organize our stuff. The thing was that because he wasn't there when I start organizing his closet. And I start, you know, putting my stuff, and you know, you know where I'm going with this. How many say amen to that? Who has more space in the closet? The girl, the woman's, right? Or the or the man, right? So it's us. Say with me, a sector, receive it. It's us, right? Man, sometimes they have a few stuff in there. So, anyway, but you know, just being married, being so nice. Wife, we're so we're a gift from God to our husband. Being so nice, you know, this missionary guy being in the mission field for so many years, you know, didn't have, you know, that much, whatever. So I'm like getting that closet, and I start putting all my stuff, and I'm like, well, I need to make room for my stuff because I moved from El Salvador and we only have this closet. So I start putting all the stuff in there, and I'm like going through his stuff, and I'm like, donation, donation, donation, donation, donation. It's true. I needed to make room for the new. And opened the little door of that little house. He's like, Oh, and I was this closer is amazing. I said, like, I didn't know that this guy could build it, you know, whoever we paid to build it. And he's like, Oh, you put your staff in there. And like, yes, for sure. That's what I stay home. And then open up and just get it. Like 90% of that whole space, it was mine, plus the 5% left that I donate from his staff, right, to the community. And then he saw his bag, he's like, uh, the what? And I said, Han, we're trusting God for new things. Like, you have to get rid of the all for God to send you the new, right? And and you probably are looking like Pastor says it, uh, that's zero, that's bad asking. And he was very grateful because he got new stuff. Yes, you were, I remember. You were don't say like you were. And well, and then I was like, but you gotta think about the community, the poor people, right? The poor, like, bless them, bless them. It's gonna be a blessing. So you know what I'm going with this, right? Now, people who are not married yet, you'll be like, What? Should I talk to that person? Uh that's another what we'll talk about another day, amen. So he must. So, John going back to the scripture. Why did I say all that? Because we gotta make the same with the move. I like that laugh. It's good to be joyful in the house of the Lord, amen. So John said about Jesus, right? Because the crowd, and I don't have time to go through the whole passage, but the disciples, people were worried, right? Like people are following Jesus. Hey, what's happening? What's happening, you know? Which and John just simply said it like this He must increase, but I must decrease. For the move of God, I believe that very strong in my heart. It's time for us to decrease so he can increase in us. Let's make room for God. Let's go to Ephesians chapter 5 for those who are taking notes. Ephesians, Ephesians 5, verses, you guys can read from 15 to 20, but I won't do that, so I'm gonna go to verse 18 in the New Living Translation. Ephesians 5, 18 to 19, it talks about living by the spirit power. And he says like this don't be drunk with wine because that will ruin your life. Say with me, instead. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourself, and making music to the Lord in your heart. So we are called to live a life full of the Spirit of God. We can be filled if we're so full of ourselves. God is looking for empty vessel where He can put it out His Spirit. Amen. And the simple illustration that I can give you here, too, but I don't have a cap, is like this bottle here. This bottle, I haven't opened it, I haven't drunk it yet, and it's still full. Right? So, in order for this little container here, this bottle to receive new water, it needs to be what? It has to be empty. And that's what I'm trying to talk to you guys this morning. What can be taking so much in our life that it's not leaving room for God to put out his spirit in us? And I'm not saying it has to be sin, I'm not saying it has to be bad, you know, stuff. It can be other, it can be good stuff. You answer that question to yourself what can it be taken if this is my life and it's so full of other stuff that the Holy Spirit cannot fill it up because what He Looking right now in this time is our empty vessels that are saying, God, here I am. You can fill me again. And there is a difference between the baptism with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Baptism with the Holy Spirit, that's what you have been learning about speaking in tongues and all the teaching that we have been receiving in this place. It's one experience, one time. I remember it. I was 12 years old in El Salvador, and I was in a young adult service, or it was like an event for youth, I think it was. I was only 12. And over there, there was not a young and all that. So it was just one whole room with young people. And some of you know my testimony. I have never received a teaching of the Holy Spirit. I never had a pastor who talked to me about the baptism or speaking in tongues or feeling this and da-da-da-da. No, I just was there. I just received the Lord. My family was going through a hard time, and I just wanted God. And I said, God, I have to empty myself with everything else so you can feel me. So I was there that night. And long story short, I received the first time the baptism with the Holy Spirit. So that was, wow, many years ago. Over 26 years ago, since I received the baptism. That one experience. Now, the filling with the Holy Spirit, that's continued. That continues every day. Amen? Because some people get confused with this. Oh, should I be praying for this? You receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit, speaking in new tongues, or you know, that's another whole teaching, right? That's one time, like when I received it, when I was 12 years old. But every day, every year in my walk with God, God has been renewing those tongues. Amen. Now, I know I have talked to people, and people have had so many questions about this in this congregation. Oh, I used to speak in tongues a long time ago, but somehow it got lost. My my my devotion for God got cold. I don't feel it anymore. And the question is this can God can fill me again? And the answer is yes. Can God can baptize you again and give you new tongues again to speak? The answer is yes. Can we have new tongues to pray? Yes. Amen. Praise God. I don't have to even explain that. Wow. Okay, let's move on. So it says here, right? Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. So now I'm gonna move faster here because of the time. So the question is this how did I keep myself full of the Holy Spirit? Because we talk about get filled with the Holy Spirit. Young people, get filled with the Holy Spirit. Come on Thursday night, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. So, how do I keep myself full of the Holy Spirit? Number one, are you ready for this? Turn to your neighbors. Are you ready for this? Number one, say with me, stay hungry. This teaching is so simple, it's not complicating and using very simple words. How do I keep myself being filled with the Holy Spirit? Number one, stay hungry, stay hungry for the things of God, continue to have a strong desire for God because verse 19 he says, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourself and making music to the Lord in your heart. Stay hungry. No more revelation on that. I want to keep you filled with the Holy Spirit. I have to stay hungry for the things of God. When there is prayer time, run to receive prayer. And I gotta explain it. And this is gonna go in the air and have the mic right here. I gotta say it. The people who respond to prayer is not because they're sinning. It's not because, oh, that's such a sinner. You need prayers, I don't need it. No. It's humbling ourselves and saying, I'm still hungry for God. I'm still hungry for God. I've been I've been a Christian for 25 years, 27 years. I know the Bible, I've been in Bible college, I have this diploma, and this and this and this and this, stay hungry. Faithful life, stay hungry. When you can receive prayer, receive prayer. When someone says, I'm gonna pray for you, I'm gonna lay, receive prayer. Stay hungry. Amen. Okay, I gotta move move here. Number two, remove every distraction that can pull you away from your relationship with God. That's just simple as that. Remove every distraction that can pull you away from your relationship with God. Because again, not every distraction that I'm teaching or saying here that means it's bad. Oh, that's bad. You never can do it. No, but it's taking too much room in your spiritual life that you're not hungry anymore, then you have to change it. It can be a good show on the TV, it can be a game, it can be this and this, and the list goes, goes, goes, and no. You know what you have to do in your own life to make room for God to say, Okay, you are ready for me to pour out my spirit upon you. It's on us. It's on us. It's like when you want to see the friend that you haven't seen in a long time. Oh, I'm super busy, and we got busy lives. We got busy, we're busy here. You got this and this, and the kids and this, and they got a sport, and they got this and that and this. Oh, so many things. But again, when do you want to see that friend? You that becomes a priority. And you're like, you know what? No matter what, I wanna I wanna things on my agenda because I wanna sit down with you and have coffee. That's exactly what God is looking for, the church of God in Canada. We're distracted, not exactly with bad things, but sometimes it can be good things that at the end you are so dried inside, the stop of the flow of the Holy Spirit has stopped in you, and then you come and then you have nothing. I love you so much, church. So, what can it be in our life that it will be taking up too much room and leaving nothing for God? Verses 15 and 17. It says like this be careful how you live, make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Do not act thoughtfully, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Use well your time. Amen. I gotta move here. Number three, do not disconnect from the body of Christ. What? How do I keep being myself being full with the Holy Spirit? Do not disconnect from the body of Christ. We're grateful for technology, we're grateful that you join in line, especially when you're sick or if you're so far away that you cannot make it. But I even the people online, I do want to encourage you. If you are in Saskatoon, show up for church. It's not always the same. Do not disconnect from the body of Christ, attend church. Say with me, show up. How do I keep him, you know, full of the Holy Spirit? Be present, show up. Hebrews, Hebrews 10, 25, it says like this, and let us not neglect our meaning together, as some people do, but encourage one another. Say with me, encourage one another. I always get encouraged when I'm in church. I always get encouraged when I'm around you. I can be going through a hard time, but when I show up and I'm part of the worship, and I see other people praying, and I see other people raising their hand, there's something that happens inside of me that I'm not the same. You want to keep a life that is full of the Holy Spirit, do not disconnect from the body of Christ. And this is this is very basic, amen. But encourage one another. Now, Acts, let's go to Acts 1.8, because that's talking about we're keeping being filled with the Holy Spirit. Let's let's get filled, let's let's get received, you know. And there's again, I want to take you to the part two here in this sermon. If you know, I'm just looking at the time here. So let's go to Acts 1.8. Are you still with me this morning? Yeah, because in order to receive the power of the Holy Spirit, I gotta make room for him. I gotta make room. Acts 1.8, and he says like this but you will receive by four, come on, but you will receive when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere in Jerusalem, and we know the scripture through Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. And I love this because some of you guys know this that the primary Greek word for power is dunamis, as the root of dynamite. So, what when the Bible is talking about the power of the Holy Spirit, it's talking about that you have a dynamite inside of you. And I'll read the definition of that word here quickly. And it says like this that implies dynamic. So that's why you cannot tell me that I have the power of the Holy Spirit, but I'm all depressed. That not even in the Google translation is that because the translation says that the word means dynamic, explosive force. So do not tell me that you have the power of the Holy Spirit, but you barely can make it to church. Do not tell me that you have the power of the Holy Spirit when they're singing holy, and you're just because the word says here, and I can share my notes freely with whoever wants, then it says that the the Greek word for power is dynamis, and as the root of dynamite, and implies dynamic, explosive for there's an explosion inside of you, dynamite, it's loud. That's when you read Acts 2. It says that they were all gathered in one place and there was all the sunning. What was loud? It wasn't like oh, you in mind that it was loud, it was strong. The Bible said that it was like a shh, a rushing wind, a rushing wind, a rushing wind, but no, the North American church right now wants to be quiet, and I told you that a few Sundays ago, or last Sunday, the world wants us quiet. The religion wants us quiet, but we're not gonna be quiet because we cannot stop to declare to be joyful for what God has done in our life. I got people telling me, oh, why do you worship like that? Why you guys are so like explosive? Why? And I you know why my answer, and I don't judge people. Don't take like Pastor Barr, but sorry, Pastor Barr, but Pastor says he's being, yeah, I go let's call her Pastor Barr. Um it's being, well, she's dynamic too, that's why it's power of God, right? Dynamite. It's not because we're being judging, like you know, junk mental, okay. You you don't have the power of God. It's not that, but I this is this when you know when people come with those things, I just look at them, and I in my mind is if you only know where I was, where he picked me up, when he healed me, if you just only know my testimony, that's what I dance, that's what I shout, that's what I raise my heart, that's what I cannot contain it. That's why I can't. People don't know, people don't know your situation. Oh, why Jamie goes like that? Oh, why Bailey? So fun to have Bailey around in the office. I don't know why.
SPEAKER_00I don't know why they, you know, the young people, I don't know why. They will only know what you have been through.
SPEAKER_01That you can shout, Jesus, that you're not gonna be ashamed of the gospel because it's the power of God. We can't stop it, and faith alive is not gonna be. We can't be quiet. We won't go slow. If you were thinking, Oh, I'm joining this church because we I wanna, you know, I want this to fit in my calendar. This is the wrong church. No, I'm sorry. You're in the wrong place. I want to see if that's what I have can infect into the power of God. No, that's not here. That's not gonna happen here. I'm grateful that you're here, but this is not gonna work. This is work for the people that say, God, here I am. I'm broken. Here, God, I need you. You can enter my life. I'm going through a hard time, but I love you. And I cannot do this in my own. God, okay, I have to move things sometimes in my agenda, in my calendar. God, sometimes I I gotta deliver you some news here. Sometimes you're gonna show up here on a Thursday, on a Sunday, or through the week, whatever you do, and you're gonna feel like doing it. The biggest battle is not gonna be against the devil, it's gonna be against yourself. It's with your own flesh. It's not the devil living alone, he's defeating in the name of Jesus. He is sometimes we're like the devil, it's the devil. Are you going to church, honey? It's the devil. I feel enough. No, it's your flesh. Because the ones who know who are gonna be here Sunday morning, you make plans on Saturday. What you do today is you thought it yesterday. Don't tell me what you did to today, what you will do tomorrow, you thought it today. That's not even the sermon. Let's move on. The Holy Spirit comes, right? So it's the power of God. So we see it in Acts 1A, and you will receive power. I gotta move on here. Acts 2, right? When the Holy Spirit comes, 1 to 4. And it says, on the day of Pentecost, all the believers were meeting together in one place. Say with me, unity. Say it one time, unity. The Holy Spirit moves when there is move unity. So, why are there healings in this place? Because we're all pulling on that. Why do we have a strong worship? Why God moves, why God touched people, why God felt dead, why God people got delivered from drugs addiction is because as a body, we're in unity fighting for the this can just be on us. I can't I can be the only ones who say who says, power, power, power, power, power, fill me with your power. God will give me my portion. But when as a church in unity we pray for the power of God, it will be given to us. Suddenly, say with me, suddenly. How many are ready for the suddenlies of God in this place? You know what a suddenly means, right? It's kind of like you're expecting it, but you're not expecting it. Suddenly, suddenly, we know because we read it how many days it took, what happened because we got the book already. But think about then. They just received the promise that said, just wait, don't go do anything else, just receive the promise of the Father, just receive the Holy Spirit, and they were there, but suddenly. And I believe in this room there are people that are waiting suddenly from heaven in any area in your life. But get ready because the suddenly is gonna happen in the name of Jesus. Suddenly it's gonna come, so when you're not expecting it, and I'm prophesying that for someone else in this room. Suddenly, the door that you've been waiting to be open, suddenly, the job that you're suddenly, the healing, suddenly, the touch, suddenly, suddenly. There was a sound from heaven. Say with me, sound. And sound is not quiet. Sound is sound. People sound, they know what I'm talking about. There was a sound from heaven, like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with see, you see the word again? See, power and fill. That's what I'm talking about. Power and fill. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. Who's the giver? Holy Spirit. Amen. And now John the Baptist foretold this in Luke 3:16. He said, He talking about Jesus, right? He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. He will baptize you with Holy Spirit and with fire. The Church of Canada needs fire. We can't just receive the Holy Spirit and not having fire. We need the fire of the Holy Spirit. Why I'm gonna skip many things here, we'll leave it for another day. So we're talking about here the power of the Holy Spirit. So, what does it do? Because you heard about this, you heard about speaking in tongues, you heard about the power, you heard about that dynama inside of you. Now, what does it do in our life? More than saying, Oh, you got power. Oh, yeah, you're gonna be baptized, but you know, Holy Spirit and fire. What does the Bible say about that? So the power of the Holy Spirit in the believer, what for? And say with me, power for what? Power for what? Tell your neighbor, power for what? Why are we crying out for power, right? Number one, activate the supernatural of God in us. Why, Pastor Sassy, I need the power of the Holy Spirit, because that will activate the supernatural of God in you. Like Peter, he walked on water. So when you have the Holy Spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit, you are gonna find yourself saying, doing, moving things that you're in your own capacity, you are not able to do. But it's because of the power of the Holy Spirit. Joel 3:10 said, Let the weak say, I'm strong. That's the power of the Holy Spirit. Because sometimes you feel weak. Sometimes you're going through a struggle. Sometimes you say, like, I can't do this. I can't do this. But all of a sudden you feel that force, you feel the presence of God raising you and lifting you up and saying, Hey, everything is gonna be okay. Hey, you're gonna go to the other side. Hey, do not worry. I'm gonna provide for you. There's a supernatural, striving side of you.
SPEAKER_00That's the power of the Holy Spirit. That's the power of the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_01That's why sometimes even the Bible says in Romans 8. Sometimes we don't know what to pray. And that's why you pray in the spirit. And I was sharing this with some friends the other day. They had done studies in the United States, or you don't remember very well, but they they did connect whatever put things on a brain and put a person there, and they wanted trying to see what happened. Like you're here, like me, for example. I'll give you the best example here. You got it here. Three languages. It would be easier for me to preach you in Spanish. But because I'm speaking in another language, what they did in that test is that my brain is working double, for example. A person who speaks more than a language, their brain is kind of like going, you know, you show something in the studies. So they show up the screen, they sat the person and say, Okay, you speak English. Now, can you say these words in Spanish? Quiero ir al baño, right? Or whatever. They start speaking in Spanish. And then their brain starts showing some movement. But then the same person that was filled with the Holy Spirit that was speaking tongues, they say, Now, can you pray in the spirit? Can you pray in tongues? And the cool thing about this is that in the natural, you know, with another language, your brain is like showing, like you know, like what I'm doing right now, what I'm saying to do, my notes. I have to receive all this in Spanish, write it on in Spanish, and put it translate translating into English. Does it make sense to you? And even when I'm talking right now here. So my brain is like chuk, chuk, chuk. But when you pray in the spirit, this is the cool thing. It shows that it's not even your brain who's moving, but because you're praying from the spirit, is the spirit. So e yeah, yeah, it's awesome. I I I I yeah, we don't have time to show that here, but but it's cool because even you know, in the natural, they can see that. That it's not your brain. When you're praying in the spirit, when you carry the power of the Holy Spirit inside of you, it's not like I gotta learn it, I gotta say it, like I'm doing it in English, right? How do I say this into another language? And I work, my brain is working when you pray in the spirit, when you're under the power of the Holy Spirit, it's not actually showing that it's your brain, it's you're praying deep inside of you. That's why the Bible says, call deep, call to deep, and that's why Paul said, when you pray in tongues, you are not talking to men, but you're talking to God, the spirit of God, because it's only says Paul, the spirit of God who knows the mind of God, so he will reveal it to you. Someone says amen to that. Okay, so number one, activate the supernatural of God in us. Worship team, you guys can come up. Number two, and that's in Isaiah 61, verse 1. And it says like this. Why do we receive the power? Why do we pray for the power? Why do we bring the power? Because this is what I got from the Lord. The Holy Spirit said to me, Sessie. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than fire. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than shaking. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than speaking in tongues. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than healing someone. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than, you know, when you you've seen it here, right? And if you are new, I know you have your question. I'm always feel free to ask. That people, you know, that person falling to the ground and shaking, or that person was laughing, or that person, like you know what he says in act, that they look like drunk because that was a reaction. The power of the Holy Spirit, those are manifestations, but the power of the Holy Spirit is more than that, and in Isaiah 61, he says it so clearly, too. It's talking about, you know, he prophet was talking about Jesus, right? But it's for us. Say with me, it's for me. And he says, like this the spirit of the Lord, it's upon me. I want you guys to declare that the spirit of the Lord, it's upon me. For the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted, and how many believe that our nation is broken inside. And to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be free. What the scripture is telling us is three things the power of God is number one, is not just for what we feel. Amen. Is to heal and to be his witness. So we cry for the power of God, we carry the power of God, but we're not called to keep it to ourselves. That's the beauty of the power of the Holy Spirit. As Jesus said it so clearly, the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and I get it, and I get it, and I get it. Sometimes you may feel like you don't have the power of God in you. Sometimes you might feel that you're going through a hard time where God hasn't answered that prayer. Maybe you are here frustrated, maybe you are here angry with God, maybe you've been trying so hard, maybe you've been praying over and over and over and over and over, and you feel that nothing is happening. But I have some news from God this morning to your heart. And he says, The Lord, like this I will restore you, I will raise you up again, I will lift your head up, and whatever the enemy tried to do in your life to hold you back, those chains are falling in the name of Jesus. God, God wants you to leave this room today. And if you're watching at home too, God wants you to remember that yes, the promise is for us, for our children. And Anna is keeping a lot of verses here, a lot of scripture, but I think you got it this morning. We need the power of the Holy Spirit. Number one, I make room for the Holy Spirit to come. God, change what you have to change in me. Do what you have to do in me. Here I am, Lord. I'm gonna make room for you now. God, give me the power of the Holy Spirit. I want a supernatural, how many want a supernatural life of God? I want it. But then He's like, I'm gonna give you the power. But it's not only for you have the power of the Holy Spirit, it's because what he says in here, Isaiah, and that's your verse. You're like, Pastor Ceci, what was my verse for today? Isaiah 61, verse 1. The spirit of the Lord, it's upon me. Because the world, the enemy, yourself sometimes are gonna feel that you don't have the power of the Holy Spirit, that God has an anointing. But I'm here to break those life from the enemy in the name of Jesus. You are an anointing person, you are an anointing mother, you are an anointing. Oh, rabba bashita bakanda. We are called to be anointed. For what? I love what he says in Luke 10 19. This is Jesus when he's sending the disciples, and he says, like this, look, I have given you authority. Maybe you feel like you don't have it, but I'm here to tell you do you have authority in the name of Jesus over all the power of the enemy, not just a little one. God is saying, I have given you authority, I have given you power over all power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and a scorpion. And I'm not saying you go find those creepy animals and walk in there, don't do that, and crush them. This is talking spiritually here. There are dimensions in the spirit, and I know camera people. Yeah, I'm going down. The word authority means he's giving you legal rights. Rob, yeah, so you know when they have their uniform, is he here? Is he here? Rob is here. Come here, come to the front, run, run, one, two, three, one, run, run, run, run, come out, come on. He's a policeman. He's giving authority. For who's giving you the authority? The government. Did you hear that? The government. The government. So when there is a situation, there is chaos, there is a bad situation, and he has to show up, for example, right? I'm just giving you this example. You know, he has his uniform, whatever. He doesn't enter into the room saying, Hey, I am such and such and such and such and su. He just shows up with authority, standing, stand like you know, yeah, yeah. Guess what happened, Amber? People know when they see him, he he hasn't, he hasn't, he he doesn't have to screen it. He just shows up because he's given authority by the government. So when the enemy, when the situation, the chaos, whatever is happening that he has to deal with, they just recognize it immediately because he walks on the room. He walks in the room, and they're like, Oh, oh, here it is. You see my point this morning? And God is saying, I give you power, and I give you authority so you can crash. So you're gonna enter into situations in your own family, come on, in your own life. You're gonna go. That's why He's saying, I'm giving you authority, I'm giving you power because what I'm trusting you, you're gonna walk in the mansion that you won't even have to say anything, just the presence of God in your life is gonna break all the power of the enemy. Oh, come on. You're just gonna show up, Mike. Like what you did last weekend on the reserves. It's gonna show up. Not because you're proud, it's because he's giving you authority, like he said it here is the government. He doesn't have to go and show all his credentials and here, hey, wait, wait, wait. Look, all that I have, look, this is who I am. No, they recognizing. So you have in the spirit a reputation. And when you walk into a room, when you walk in the middle of darkness, when you pray for people, when you go to the hospital, when you talk to that friend that is going through drugs and hard times, whatever you are doing that you know is darkness, they will see the light of God in you, and that has to change in the name of Jesus. That's what he's talking about there. Power and authority. Power and authority. Oh, I feel so bad. I'm going through this. You're just gonna get in that room, you're just gonna look up to heaven, raise up your hand and say, What? God, I love you. God, I don't understand what I'm going through. God, I don't know what I haven't seen breakthrough. But whatever is holding me back right now, in the name of Jesus, I break it. I break it. Thank you. Thank you so much. That's why, if you are sick this morning, that's why if you're going through a hard time in your life, that's why you feel that no one sees you. That's why if you feel like the power of God is not in you anymore. God wants to break that over you today. God wants to feel you again. What God wants to touch you again. The church in Canada needs the power of God. We need the power of God. He's giving you power, he's giving you authority, church. It's more than speaking in tongues, it's more than feeling this and this. It's change, it's power, it's authority, is that you speak to your own situation, and you're gonna say, you know what, enemy, you have me for so long, but that's over, that's over. I'm taking back what you took away from me, and taking back my family, I'm taking back my children, and taking back my generation, and taking back my joy. If you have been feeling so down, God was that's what the power of the Holy Spirit He will restore your joy. Shototo, raise your hands, the power of God is here to heal. The power of God is here to set you free. The power of God is to refresh you, to give you a new authority. Touch us, God, touch us, touch us again, touch us again, touch me again, Lord. Come on, church, you can cry it out and say, God, I want you to touch me. I want you to change me. God, I need you, God, I need you, God, I need you, God, I need the power of the Holy Spirit. I need the power of the Holy Spirit. Shh, what is the hungry people in this room? This is just not for people who are singing or less spiritual. This is for everyone who's hungry. That you are like I'm done with religion. I'm done with what people think of me. I'm done with that. He's gonna restore power. That's what I heard. That's what he told me. I'm gonna restore power and authority over my church in Canada. Because they lost it. They lost it. And if you're here today, make room. I see a lot of new people. New, a lot of new people coming. Please, let's make room for them. Make room for them. Shout-ra, ba ba, baba. And if you're here today and you haven't received Jesus, you are like Sessie. I understood what you were talking about, about the power, about the Spirit of God, about what He does in the life of a believer. But I even don't know I have the Holy Spirit in me. You don't have to go home the same way that you came today. You don't have to feel how you feel today. If you're listening to me today and you're like, I need Jesus in my life. I need to be safe from myself today. I don't want to end this service praying with you today. So if you're right there, if you want to come to the front, if you want to raise your hand in the back where you are, I don't care where you are, or watching online, just pray this with me. Jesus, I need you. You are my God, you are my savior. Forgive me all my sins, restore my heart. I can do it on my own. I have tried everything, and nothing has worked. I need you, Jesus. I receive your forgiveness, wash me with your blood, and today, and today, and today, I receive you as my Lord and my savior forever. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, fill me with your Holy Spirit, fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. Just pray, just pray right now. Just pray, pray right now. Shototo, if you're if you don't know how to pray in tongues, just pray in English, pray in your language. I giving you power, says the Lord. I giving you authority. Shiradaraba shot shototo Let me read you this on that day. All the believers were meeting together in one place. Where believers check mark, one place, that means unity, and suddenly there was a sound from heaven, like the roaring of a mighty storm, and it filled the house where they were sitting, in this case, standing. Then what it looked like flames or tongues of fire, tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them, and everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit. Everyone present, everyone in this room, everyone at this hour, everyone on this Sunday, March 22nd is gonna be filled with the Holy Spirit. It says it. So is the biblical pastor? Ceci, it is. It was a was it a promise for the Joel to talk about that. I didn't have time to go through all that, but that promise is still for us today. The power, and I'm closing with this. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than speaking in tongue, it's authority, it's fire, it's a right relationship with him. To not let anyone quench the fire that you have. Because I gotta say, and that's for another Sunday. Like in that chapter, there were people that they didn't understand what was happening. It's okay if you are like, I don't understand what's happening, I don't understand why these people speak in tongues, I don't understand why some of them shake. I don't understand why some of them fall in the ground. It's okay. One thing I know, one thing I know that he wants to fill you today. That he doesn't want you that you go through this religion and Christian life that is empty, that is dry, that is no part. That's not what he wants for you. He wants to fill you, he wants to empower you, he wants to bless you.
