Do It Again

Get ready to have your faith stretched. In this special missionary Sunday message, our friend and missionary Steven Stoffelsen, who together with his wife Carla leads City of Refuge in Guatemala, brings a word about believing God for the impossible. The morning begins with Carla sharing the remarkable testimony of their second miracle baby, baby Elijah, a reminder that with God nothing is impossible and that He is often working a miracle inside us before we ever see it. Steven then shares story after story of lives transformed through City of Refuge, from an alcoholic healed of cirrhosis to a baby once given no hope of surviving who just celebrated his sixteenth birthday. From there he opens up Matthew 13 and John 14 to show us that the kingdom of God is meant to be our central focus, and that Jesus has essentially handed us a blank check, promising that whatever we ask in His name, He will do. This is a joyful, faith-building call to stop asking small and start cashing in. Come and believe with us.

Amen. It's an honor to be here. Maybe seated. I'm telling you, that prayer that you were praying, you know, we were worshiping and saying, do it again. It's a dangerous prayer. Amen. We had one miracle baby that took, you know, almost 20 years to believe in God that it was gonna happen, and we asked God to do it again. So be careful what you pray. Amen. I'll let uh my wife uh speak first.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. It's a pleasure and an honor to be with you guys. Uh, we are so happy to see the church growing and expanded. And because so many people are not going in the mission field, God send two babies to go to the mission field because they will grow up there. But God is so faithful. I just want to say this morning to encourage the church and raise your faith. For God is nothing impossible. And I remember uh I know that you guys hear a little bit of our testimony, but I remember in our season when we were like, okay, maybe we will surrender our desire to be a mom and dad. I remember asking the Lord and saying, if this is my desire, take it away because I don't want to be focused on something that is not your will. I wanna I want that you feel our hearts. We are complete in you, Jesus. And I wanna I wanna leave you with us, we are complete in Jesus. Not because we are a mom and a dad, it's lack of anything. If we have Jesus, we are complete in Jesus and we are full of with him. Now remember asking the Lord, but if this is your will that we become a mom and a dad, make a way. And we lose our child our first child, you know that. And last year after our mission trip here, when we come here to Saskatchewan, I was asking the Lord, like uh, and I think you guys hit a little bit. I was asking the Lord, can you do it again? Because I'm raising myself far away from family, far away from closest people, far away from friends. And my and my child, he will not have that bonding with aunts and uncles. He's the only child, and he will not feel like that he has like cousins that like they become like brothers to him. And I say, when we're gone, because one day we're gone, I pray that the Lord give us life for many, many, many years. But I say, but when we are gone, I wonder they have each other. So can you do it again? And I went back to Guatemala in my first week in Guatemala. I was not feeling well. I did the test and it was positive. And I was so excited, but I was not sharing anybody because I have one miscarriage. You are a little bit more reserved when we you get pregnant again. So I was not sharing. And actually, a team from Faith Alai was uh working with Brother King and at Cediva over there, and a few ladies from the team come to our breakfast, and after the breakfast, we have a meeting with Pastor Bart, and we finish our meeting, and as as I was saying goodbye to her, and she was walking away, I feel something wrong, and I start bleeding. And long story short, I have I was with a hematoma. That's how they use it in English? Attached to the baby. The hematoma was up and the baby was down, and they were the same size. And the doctors say the risk and the chance that we are taking right now is that we'll be like explode and we'll wash away the baby. And that was in December, January, February, they did different ultrasounds, and the hematoma disappeared. It was not there. And David was growing healthy and perfect. And the other miracle, it was like he was breached, he flipped. Long story short, I will put it in this way. They I was five minutes from C-section, my doctor came running and says, like, okay, are you ready? And I say, Ready? But my request before was do an ultrasound just before. She said, I have a promise, I will do the ultrasound. She started doing the ultrasound and she said, like, oh, buddy, body, buddy, buddy. He flipped in two days. On Friday, he still breached. On Monday, he was in place. At 38 weeks. So he was born two days after, and after he was born, the doctor helped me. She said, Nobody told you that you have an issue in your placenta. And I say, What do you mean? And she showed me the placenta, and the umbilical core and the placenta was like a banding, like a crush. And she said, usually babies don't grow up with this issue. That's not your problem, because the baby is healthy and perfect and a good size. But I don't know what happened here. Nobody told you. And I say, nobody told me. I guess the cat don't want me to worry. And this is what I want to encourage you to face. Sometimes we are in a place that we need a miracle and we don't realize that God is still doing a miracle inside of us. Sometimes you don't see that he's doing something inside of you and he's doing a miracle inside of your body. But God is so faithful, even when you don't realize that he's doing a miracle in your favor, he's working in your behalf, and he's making a way, and he's doing miracles, because for God it's nothing impossible. So he was born healthy, and here is baby Elijah, my second miracle baby. 20 years of marriage. I wait for the first one 17 years, and for this one 20. I don't think I will have more. Maybe I received the I don't know. The Lord knows. But he's faithful. He made the married woman have a family and made her a happy mother. He is the only one that makes a way for us when things are impossible. Many times you don't know how many pregnancy tests I did during like 17 years. You don't have idea how many times I thought maybe because I was delayed and negative. You don't have idea how many times I walk away from the office of the doctor and say then to me, you will not be a mother. It's impossible. I remember in 2020, one doctor said to me, Don't get pregnant. I think you have lupus cancer. I think you will you will have a heart attack in the next couple of six months, six months. Uh, and they say to me, Don't get pregnant, because every time that you get pregnant, you will have a second and third and fourth miscarriage. You will not be able to carry your babies. And I have two miracles. Big book of God, it's nothing impossible. So this morning, get ready, because we sinned this morning, do it again. So, whatever you are asking the Lord, Father, do it in my life, He will answer your prayer. Can take probably a year or two, or in my case, 20 years, but it's He still always answered our prayers. So thank you, Faith Alive, for praying for us, for supporting us through the years. That's in our family, House of Refuge is still growing, God is moving. Uh, we are looking for go back next Saturday, no, not Sunday. We're back in Guatemala, and we are so happy to go back to our place and keep serving God now as a family of four. We bless your pastors. They, yes, they are great family and friends to us, but uh we are so proud of them. How many in the church are proud of your pastors? We are so proud of you guys, and we and we honor them because I think friendships that last this long. It's because it's God in the middle and it's honor from each other. And we always honor them and we always admire their marriage, their love, the call, and the way that they're still of the Lord in this beautiful Saskatoon. And so I want to say to the church, take care of them, love them, appreciate them because they are a gift from God to you guys. Many people around the world, we would love to have Adam and Sassy and their team. And you are so blessed to have both of them be part of this beautiful house. So thank you for taking care of them and love them, and I will let my husband preach. We love you guys, and thank you.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Somebody can help her to help. Thanks. Wow. God is good, amen. We've been seeing he's working with me at the clock here. It was counting down, all of a sudden it's counting up. I'm not sure, but uh what that means, I just know God is good. Amen. But uh it's always so good to just come back and just share uh the good things that God is doing. Um yeah, he's been doing some amazing stuff, and uh, we continue to see people healed, we continue to see God uh move in in powerful ways, and uh even when we're not there, it's such a blessing uh to have people who are able to look over the watch over the ministry and and continue to see it, the momentum just kind of keep going. Uh, of course, we have uh Pastor Pablo, a young guy that we've uh raised up and been able to uh have him, you know, go to the park, uh go to you know, do all the things that we would normally do, go to the the streets and the bars and everywhere else, and uh just be able to share the love of God and uh the things that he and uh you know just to be able to look after the ministry uh while we're there. And we're just excited, you know, just uh to be able to go back and now be able to say, you know, like, yeah, let's let's see more of what uh God's gonna do, more of uh more of his presence, more of his spirit, and uh just know that uh God will just move in mighty ways, man. Uh we have right now it's been now uh 21 years that we've actually had a place for house of refuge. So we've actually started long before that. Uh but since we've had a house or a place for uh house of refuge, it's been uh 21 years now, and uh it's just amazing like how when after you've been around for a little while, and of course you'll see this in the church as well, you begin to see that uh it wasn't just an alcoholic that was changed, it wasn't just an alcoholic that stopped drinking, it was an alcoholic who received Jesus, his life was transformed, he got reintegrated with his family. I'm just talking about one case, right? He got reintegrated with his family. Uh his children at the time, uh, I think the oldest was eight, they and they had four children. She was eight or nine, I think. And uh, you know, they had the four children, and they came to us and they said, We're trying to decide which of the two, which two children we're gonna put into school out of the four. And uh, you know, we asked them if there was a way, would you want all four to be in school? Can you imagine having to decide which two kids would go to school? And uh so they said, Well, yeah, we'd love to have all four into in school. And uh so we said, Okay, not knowing how, we just said, Okay, uh, we're gonna put those four kids in school. Amen. And uh that began a new uh child sponsorship, uh, being able to uh get these kids in school, they got an education, of course. Now they're all grown up, they've graduated, and uh, you know, they um now uh the one girl, Dalila, who is the oldest, uh, she is now married to a Christian man who is actually the night guard at uh City of Refuge. Uh they're both serving in the ministry. She is a great uh children's pastor, like a leader of the children, and and just does amazing stuff with them. And uh and now she has a daughter of her own. And uh, how many know she's growing up in the house of the Lord? She's you know, she's serving God, and she, you know, she already loves, she's she sees Caleb uh lay hands on, lay hands on the other kids, and so she comes in as well and she's laying hands on them. And uh and it's just amazing to see how uh, you know, uh a daughter of an alcoholic um who you know now was changed and transformed, God healed him. He had cirrhosis, and uh Jesus miraculously healed him. Amen. He'd always told of a story, and and I wish I would have been there to see it, but uh what I did see was the results, amen. But he would tell us a story of how uh when people have cirrhosis, of course, everything's swollen, right? Their feet are swollen, their hands are swollen, their stomach's swollen. And uh he remembers he said I had a dream, or he said I had a vision. He said it wasn't a dream because I could feel the gravel under the feet, and we had like a patio area where the gravel was, and there was this table that was just kind of over to the side, and he said, This man in bright white clothing appeared to me, and when I looked down, I couldn't see a I didn't have a stomach, and he said he had one over on the table and he brought it over and put it on him. And I thought, wow, Jesus is appeared, amen. And uh all I saw was that he was swollen one day and the next day he wasn't, amen. But God is good, amen. And uh so we're so excited, and then now, you know, just to see the family just serving God, uh, wanting more, his his wife uh is serving full-time in House of Refuge as well. Uh, she cooks and cleans, and if you ever come to House of Refuge, you will you will meet her, amen. Um, and then there's another girl, uh, she was, you know, probably about uh I think eight or nine when we met her. Her mother was a prostitute. Um many of you might remember the story of Gabrielle. He uh he was dying of HIV. He only had uh he was 11 months old, and basically the doctors, the doctors literally straight out said, get prepared, buy the coffin. He's not gonna live until he's not gonna live after his first birthday. Well, God is good. And Gabriel on March 20th just celebrated his 16th birthday. Not bad for a kid who is getting sick all the time, we were, you know, just watching him go downhill, and then you know, God does a miracle, and he doesn't just do it for a little while, amen. So we've just seen the faithfulness of God. That's not just like, you know, was it a healing or wasn't it? Is he gonna receive it again? No, he's 16 years uh healed, and you know, just uh yeah. And then uh, of course, his sister, you know, AB, uh, you know, also uh, I mean, basically in Guatemala, your mom's a prostitute, it's pretty well that's your destiny until God intervenes. And uh AB is now serving the Lord. She's the first woman in her family to be in university. She's graduating, I believe, next year. And this year she is going to be the first uh couple to get married on City of Refuge property. And they've asked Carla to speak at the wedding, and and uh we're just really excited. This is all happening next month, and uh so we'll be uh back there and busy, and we just know uh that God's just doing some awesome stuff. And so these these are just you know just short testimonies. We I could go all morning uh just sharing testimonies. We did that, I think, last year. Uh but there's just you know so much more, and and so much that God is doing in that as we as we look back and just say, wow, God, you are good. Amen. You are good, and uh, we're just so grateful for that. Amen. And so I'd like to show you a video, I believe we can do that, and uh just you know, kind of what we're doing now and what we're believing God for.
SPEAKER_01In Jeremiah 29, 11, God declares, I know the plans I have for you. Plans to give you hope and a future. For many living on the streets, trapped in addiction or caught in exploitation, that promise feels distant. Hope as a home is our campaign to change that. By furnishing our new building, its kitchen, gathering spaces and rooms, we're creating a place where God's plans can take root. Are you with us today as we continue to watch this miracle of hope unfold? Life like precious life throughout the communities we serve.
SPEAKER_02Amen. How many know that City of Refuge is a place of hope? Amen. And uh so we've been able to get the building up, and now we're uh looking at, of course, all the inside stuff, right? All the the kitchen and the appliances and the shelving and all those things that you think are you know are just lower costs, but uh suddenly realized no, there's a lot more, uh, a lot more to this. Also, we're continuing our uh our different programs. Of course, we got child sponsorship uh comes up very quickly. Uh shoes we're we'll be buying um in what whenever that Black Friday is in November, I think. Uh Guatemala's adopted it as well. And uh so they always put the shoes on, and and the owner of the store you know calls us up and says this is gonna be the you know best deal, get it now. And uh so uh so all those you know costs are coming up. And so if you're writing out a check today, uh after the two, there's five zeros, right? Two. No, every dollar helps, amen. And uh if you know, if uh you want to give and just be a part of it, of course. Uh I know uh Faith Alive, you guys have been uh supporting on a monthly basis. Maybe some want to do it uh personally as well. You can do that, you can see us uh after service as well. But uh yeah, God is good and he's faithful, and he is our provider, amen. So let us go to Matthew chapter 13. I want to get into this. I um yeah, I know I don't have a lot of time, but we're gonna get through this. And I believe that God's just gonna move. Amen. Um even just as we were worshiping, I just, you know, sometimes I like to just encourage people to do this because lots of times, you know, we wait till the end of the service. We think, you know, there's a special order that God needs to do things, even though we've you know prayed, God, do it your way, you know, come, you know, have your way. Uh, we don't want to leave the same as you know when we came in. We want a different service, but we still expect God to still move the way we're actually thinking He's supposed to move, right? We're stuck lots of times uh in our mindsets. Um, but lots of times we've we've actually seen people just get healed just by reading the word. Amen. And uh so I want to I want to encourage you to believe. Leave God. And I want to try to step out a little bit too, if that's okay. Am I allowed to do that? And I just like, as and I just I don't, I I want if if this is you, I want you to raise your hand, but it I want you to wait and you're gonna listen to the word and God's gonna do the work, amen. But I believe like as we were worshiping, I just really felt that I was hearing the Holy Spirit say that there's somebody here who has uh a problem in their knee. Um, and even just to go a little bit further, it's like you're uh already scheduled to have uh an operation on that knee. Is there anyone here? Back here? Okay, we're gonna pray for you after the service, but I want you to just listen to the word. And I believe that as we do, the Lord's gonna do a miracle. Can you believe for that?
SPEAKER_03Amen.
SPEAKER_02He reveals that he does it, amen. And uh I believe others, you know, uh some have neck pains, others have uh maybe pain in their and their elbow, but I just uh I really feel like God wants to do something this morning. Um as I was just you know, just really uh pressing in and just asking Lord, you know, what do you want? And I was honestly, I'm just going, okay, I can preach this and I can preach that. I'm like, God, no, I I want your word uh for this morning. I know uh I know this church. I know they're not just gonna want uh something that I've stirred up, something that I've come up with. Amen. And I really wanted to talk to you about you know being hungry for God and and going after God. And I'm like, well, no, they already know that stuff, you know. They've all they already they already have that that hunger on the inside of them. I'll let Pastor Adam uh you know continue with that. But um yeah, the Lord had uh actually given me a dream this morning, and I was just like, okay, well, we're going that way, amen. And uh and I just believe that the Lord uh wants to speak to hearts and wants to uh speak to us in different ways. And I want to first go to a verse that jumped out at me uh a little while back, and uh I believe that the Lord just kind of wants to speak to us through it, amen. And uh when I had told Pastor Adam that I was coming to Saskatchewan and I was like, okay, I think you know we're gonna we're gonna do this, and I told him the times, you know, that we were gonna be here, and he's like, Well, he says, Yeah, I'm sorry, you know, the only time I can get you in is on the 25th. And I said, Okay, well, you know, in my mind I said, we're saving the best for last. I gotta get to get the brother back up here. You know, he's gonna really get you guys going. Amen. Saving the best for last here. You guys are awesome. So you found Matthew chapter 13, verse 52. It says, and he said to them, Therefore, every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old. And I don't know why. I've read this verse many times. I've I've studied the Bible and all those things, but one day this verse just like jumped out of me, smacked me in the face, and said, you know, like, read this over again. Amen. And so I, you know, I just kind of began to meditate on it, began to read it, began to read it in different uh different versions and all those things, and you know, doing what a good uh scholar would do. And then uh I just really started to understand. And as you know, you continue to read the gospels and then into Acts, and then like even the epistles, you realize that Jesus actually wanted us to preach the kingdom of God. Right? Like it was such a central theme of all that Jesus did, all that he spoke about, every miracle that happened, it was because the kingdom of heaven had come. Amen. And he was uh he was giving us the mandate, and he was showing us that this is the reason why you are here. Like the kingdom of heaven has come. You are a part of a greater kingdom than uh what's going on around us. And often today, uh, you know, in these times, what we're looking at more is the kingdoms of the earth, and we're trying to figure out, you know, what's happening here and what's happening there, and how is this and how is that? Instead of focusing on the one thing that Jesus told us to focus on, it was the kingdom of God. Amen. And to preach that the kingdom of God is near, the kingdom of God is now, the kingdom of God is in this place, the kingdom of God is all over Saskatoon, the kingdom of God is over Martinsville, the kingdom of God is reaching all over the prairies and all over Canada, and God is setting things up. Amen. If we don't understand that he's got a prophetic timetable and we're too busy trying to figure out uh what those times are, instead of focusing on the kingdom of God is advancing. Church, we're gonna miss something. We're gonna miss it if we can't figure it out that it's the kingdom of God that's the most important thing, that it's what we live for. Amen. It's what we give our lives for, then we're gonna miss out on all the great things that God has for us. Amen. I was speaking in another church, of course. Many of you are gonna know it. Uh, you know, but they were just they they have this mandate from God. You know, they're saying, uh, not one feeble person, not one sick person in Saskatoon. Amen. I said, praise God, I got the same vision for Chickamalia. Amen. We're going after it, we're believing for it. And I said to him, I said, wow, now you guys are even bolder than me. You've actually put a date on it. You know, Project 2027. And I'll challenge them just like I challenge you. Line up with the vision. Amen. Not one church is gonna be able to do it by themselves, amen. Not one person is gonna be able to do it by themselves, not one pastor. Amen. I'm not saying Joe grab visions from all the other churches, I'm just saying, amen. We preach the kingdom of God here, amen. Our desire is to see people healed, amen. I had myself in here because I feel a part of this church, amen. And so as we, you know, what do we need? How are we gonna catch a vision of seeing Saskatoon completely, you know, every sick person healed? We're gonna need some Walmart evangelists. We're gonna need some 33rd Street evangelists. Oh, but I'm not an evangelist. Paul told Timothy, do the work of an evangelist. Amen. We need people that will go and they'll run with uh, you know, just reaching out to others, bringing others in. Amen. Well, I like these kid evangelists that are, you know, reaching out to their friends saying, come on out to hallelujah harvest. Maybe the first time these kids hear about God. Although I doubt it, they probably the Bureau kids have probably already talked to them about God, amen. And so, you know, there's that desire that, you know, we want city transformation. We want to see more of God in us, more of God moving through us, but we got to step out. Amen. You want to see God move, you're gonna have to step out. Amen. You want to see God move, you're gonna have to learn more about you know the kingdom of God being on the inside of me, the kingdom of God being released. Amen. That everywhere we go, that uh the places that we visit, that the places uh you know where we're sitting in a restaurant, the kingdom of God is present. Amen. When we're in the airport, I seem to visit that a lot lately, you know, the presence of God is there. Amen. The presence of God is in every place that we go. Amen. And what did Jesus say? He says, seek first, you know it, Matthew 6, 33, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. Let this be your main focus, let this be your main thing. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things. All the things that you're worrying about, your paycheck, your clothing, your food, uh, how you're gonna survive, you know, all these things that you're worrying about, Jesus said, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and he would take care of all the rest. No, I'm gonna have to call him back up. When we when we get the kingdom of God and we understand that that's really all we're living for, that that's what it's all about, that that's what life is, then we're gonna see a lot more. Amen. Healings like Jesus showing up and giving a guy a new stomach, that'll be happening in Canada. Amen. People whose livers are completely shot and they've got hepatitis B. And again, I shared this last time, but you know, this to watch him get completely healed. Even said he had lost all his hair and his hair grew back. Like some people here need to believe that. Greg, who's teaching the faith builders, amen? And so, you know, we we have this mentality of, you know, over in Guatemala, great things happen. I know not here. You know, all these awesome things are happening in other parts of the world, but really God wants to do so much more here. Amen. We haven't seen enough. Amen? We haven't seen enough. I believe the latter glory is going to be even greater than the first. Amen. What this place was was founded on. We know that there were miracles and there were amazing things taking place. We know that you guys uh over the years have have caught the fresh wind of revival. Right? Am I in the right place? Amen. You've caught the you had caught the fresh wind of revival. Amen. And we say, do it again, Lord. Do it again, Lord. Do it again, Lord. I'm telling you, it's a dangerous prayer, and as we believe God that, yeah, these healings can take place, amen. Cancer can leave bodies, tumors can go, amen. As we grab a hold of God and we believe that this is really what he's all about, this is what he does, amen. This isn't just something Jesus did 2,000 years ago, this is something Jesus called us to do, amen. He said, When you go, preach. The kingdom of heaven is at hand, amen. And then what does he say? Giving you a Bible lesson here, Matthew 10. Amen. There we go. See, my brother, he's with me. Amen. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Oh, I don't like that one anymore. You know, we give nice little cute names for the devils now. Oh, we need to kick them out, amen. Praise God. Now I want us to go to John. I'll just share a little bit about John chapter 15. Sorry. John chapter 14. Start in verse twelve. It says, Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, it's possible that others might do them as well. The works that I do, he will do also. And greater works than these will he do. Because I go to my father. And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do. That the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. This is the kingdom of God. This is the kingdom of God. This is kingdom living. This is knowing who our God is. He says that, you know, the works that he did, we will do also. I missed you missed a good place to say amen again. Again. When Jesus says they will do greater works, you know, the works that I do, they'll do, and they're gonna even do greater works. I don't know. I get excited about that. Amen. It causes me to actually believe Jesus that he's what he said he would do, he will do. Amen. It causes us just to, okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna pray for you know the stage five cancer patient because I believe that God's gonna heal him. Amen. Oh no, I don't know. That that seems just so far advanced. When did God say he had limits? Oh, but our our our experiences, the the the the the that other person that that that happened in it. When does your experience dictate the word of God? Right? We need to line up our faith with God's word. We need to line up our faith with with what God is saying, that what he said he would do, he's gonna do. Amen. I remember, you know, just watching sometimes. I'm I'm remembering a lady first who was uh healed of carpal tunnel. Uh she makes papoosas. I'm sure Sessie has taught you about papoosas.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_02They make tortillas, I'm telling you, they need the wrists, right? If they want to make some really good papoasas, they're gonna need their wrists. And uh, you know, uh she was coming to House of Refuge quite often. Uh she loves the Lord, and uh God heals her of her carpal tunnel. Amen. And she's now able to make great papoosas. Amen. But I also remember, I don't know if it was carpal tunnel, but I believe I had something that it was so painful. I mean, you know, my whole wrist was was hurting. I remember I had to lead worship that night. It was uh either a Tuesday or a Friday night. And I remember we've taught the kids, you know, to pray for the sick. And uh, uh AB was actually one of them, the one that's uh getting married. And uh and and then uh Catherine, who was you know, who received the Holy Spirit at three years old and speaking tongues. And I remember them praying for me. And uh, you know, like you know, Pastor Steve, he needs to he needs to lead worship tonight, you know, like God, you know, heal him. And uh I remember uh I remember Amy actually so nervous, she was, you know, grabbing my hand and moving it all around, and I'm screaming in excruciating pain by saying, Yes, Lord. And I don't know what happened, but I know that God blessed the faith of these two little girls. And I was able to lead worship that night, and I never had a problem since. Amen. Because God is no respecter of persons, he wants to use us all, he wants us all to get catch the kingdom of God, he wants us all to catch what he says here he's going to do, where it says, Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also, and greater works than these will he do because I go to my father. This is the part I want you to catch. This is part of the dream. It says, and whatever you ask in my name, whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. And if you ask anything in my name, I will do it. And I'm telling you, in the dream that I saw last night, I don't make everybody all emotional here, but it was from a teaching I heard from Pastor Kim. Of course, we all knew him, or Man Oquim. Where I saw the Lord just giving a blank check. I don't know if he ever preached, I'm sure he preached it in Canada. He preached it many times in Guatemala, many, many, many, many years ago. And he would say that this verse was like God giving you a blank check. It said, anything you ask in my name, I will do it. Amen. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a blank check. Amen. And I praise God because I was just catching it and just understanding, you know what, that's so true. I heard it so many times, he preached it so many times, but you know, here is here is, you know, he we're getting this blank check that Jesus is actually saying, you can ask really for anything you want, and I will do it. Amen. I'm gonna put more than five zeros on that check.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_02We gotta finish City of Refuge. There's so much more to the vision, amen. But God is telling us, and it's not just money, you know? Healing of cancer. I want to walk, I want to hear again. I want healing for my family member. Amen. Jesus said, Whatever you'll ask. And he gave us an open invitation. And I know we want to limit them, and I know we want to, you know, put all these things what really God actually said, I'm giving you a blank check. There's people that need to cash it in. Amen. God, we want more of your spirit upon this church. And I really felt that this was a word for the church that it wasn't, it wasn't for me. I mean, if it was for me, I told you, I'd put lots more cereals on that check and I I know what to write on the check. Amen. I'd actually grab some more checks out of there and uh you know, write write other needs and write other things, and just saying, God, you've been so faithful. You've been so faithful over the years. We've we've seen you time and again, time and again, just do miracle after miracle after miracle. You've been doing it for so many people. And and we've seen it, we've seen miracles in our own lives, we've seen miracles in your lives, we've seen uh what God's been doing in such powerful ways. Sometimes we're worried about getting greedy about what we asked for, but Jesus actually said, Come on, man. What are you waiting for? I got a blank check for you. Amen. Do you believe, like, if I I'm not gonna do this, but if I came up to you and I gave you a blank check and I signed it? And I said, you know what, you can make out the check for whatever you want. You're gonna make it out for 20 bucks? If you did, I would be actually kind of insulting. You'd be like, really? You only want 20 bucks? Like, I signed this. I I gave it to you. I said you could make it out for whatever you need whatever the need was. Have you ever looked at the tabernacle that you know the tabernacle of meeting what Moses built? Or Solomon? You're like, yeah, make it with pure gold. Like, oh, I don't know, that might be too much money. I don't know if I can ask God that He would heal me because maybe He's humbling me and making me feel like, you know, teaching me a lesson. But really, we have all these preconceived ideas, but God just said, you know, just ask. Just ask. Amen. Sometimes checks like that, they need two signatures. Jesus said his Father would give it. Amen. That's whatever you want in my name, and the Father will give it to you. We're serving a good Father, a good God who has good things for us. Amen, church. Church, it's time we cry out for revival. Church, it's that no, but we were crying out for revival last Thursday. Yeah, but it's time we really say, God, again, you can interrupt my schedule. We used to say that lots before 2020. And then God interrupted our schedule. And we went, whoa, okay, we won't pray that prayer anymore. Some of you are catching it, others going, what? But God wants to interrupt our schedule. God wants to interrupt everything we believe. Amen. I want to see if the worship team can come up. If I'm here for anything this morning, it's just to encourage you to believe God for the impossible. Amen. I know Greg was teaching on faith building, so I was happy that he built your faith before nine. I'm sure everybody had attended the class. But as we believe God that he really can do the impossible. That if he can heal Gabriel basically on his deathbed, what can he do for you? If he can heal an alcoholic, and so often we we have again, we we like to be judgmental. Sometimes the Pharisee in us, you know, rises up. I know we don't like to hear that. I think, well, you know, he's damaged his liver, you know, he's he's done that to himself, and we have all these things that we. But what I've seen is God's no respecter of persons. And he doesn't say, I'm gonna judge you because of your past and I'm gonna make you suffer. He says, Ask anything in my name. And I'll do it. Ask anything in my name. The check's been written, the check's signed. You just need to go down, grab hold of that check and say, I'm gonna cash it in. I'm gonna cash that check in. But I've tried to cash it in before and it didn't work. Who said you can't ask God again? Oh, but that's not faith. Was it faith if you didn't receive the answer? So ask again. Believe God again. Amen. So I'd like us to stand up. Hallelujah. I want us to believe God for the impossible. Maybe there's financial stress, some real difficulties in your marriage or in your family. Maybe you feel like everything's falling apart. I shared even a little bit with the men yesterday. Maybe you feel like you know, I need something to cash in. Lord, I want my marriage back. Lord, that wayward child, I want them back, Lord. Those kids that are now adults and they're experiencing everything in the world, Lord, we call them back to the church. We call them back to this place. Like it or not, the ones that we've hurt, every church I'm sure has a testimony somewhere. Well-meaning people trying to do the right thing. And we hurt the youth. I don't know why I'm saying this. But I remember going to a church that was so evangelical, so much wanting to get people saved to Christ. My parents would, like Pastor Adam was saying, you know, drag us into church. I was dressed like that's the guy you got to evangelize. Long hair, earrings sometimes dangling, all kinds of skulls on my t-shirts, rock bands. And there was one brother in the Lord, one person I'm sure he was doing the best he could wanting to get me saved. He talked to me about the Lord, but then he started to say, Well, you gotta stop doing drugs and you gotta stop drinking, you gotta stop. And he had judged me because of my appearance, because I still at that point I had never experienced drugs. I ain't going back. Fifteen years old, I ain't going back. But why? No, they judged me there. It's a hard road. So even though we can be loving people and wanting to win them for the Lord and do the right things, there's times where we just gotta be careful, amen. There's times where we just need to preach Jesus. We don't have to think that we're, you know, receiving this divine revelation of, you know, all the things that they're doing. We just need to tell them about Jesus and how good he is. I don't know if that's, I believe it's for someone this morning. Amen. Maybe your your child maybe experienced that. And maybe you need to just say, God, just like he's brought this brother back, Lord, bring him back as well. Bring her back as well. The Lord, whatever it is, you've got to cash in this morning. And I'm gonna call that brother up who needs, about to go through surgery in the knee. We're gonna pray for his knee. Amen. I'd like you to, yeah, come on up. Might have received your healing already, but we're gonna we're gonna pray. And if anybody else in here, you you just you need prayer. We've got pastors, we've got prayer warriors, we've got people that can. I I'll come down. We got people who can pray for you. But if you need something, you you you gotta cash that check in. Amen. It's been given to you just wide open. And you can you say, God, I I want to cash in this check today. Lord, I've got faith for it. Lord, I I I believe that my healing is now, my healing is today. I believe that the financial miracle that I need for my family, Lord, I believe that it's here. Lord, the call of God that's upon my life, but everything that's holding me back from from reaching that call, God, today I I catch it in. I want to serve you with all my heart. I want to I want to do everything for you, God. Lord, my my family member who is lost and and doesn't want to come back and has been hurt by the church, Lord God. I I cry out for their soul today, God, and I lift up that check and I say, God, I'm cashing it in. I'm cashing it in. And don't worry, these checks, they can't just be just cashed in once. You can catch them in again and again and again. And when you say, do it again, Lord. Do it again, he does it again. When you say yes again, Lord, I'm gonna ask you for something greater, he'll do it greater. God, I'm gonna ask you for something more, and he does it more, and he does it more, and he does it more. Come, Holy Spirit. Do it again, Lord. Do it again. We're gonna begin to pray for you, and I'm if you're still in your seat and you're just saying, No, I I need this, I need more, I need a touch from God, I need an experience with God, I need time with God, I need He wants to move, He wants to do it, He wants to do it, he's waiting for you to ask, He's waiting for you to cry out, he's waiting for you to cash in that check, he's waiting for you to say this, this is my need, this is what I want. Oh rash-abara, I seek your kingdom, Lord, but I know you're going to fulfill all of my needs. I've been seeking your kingdom, I've been seeking your face, I've been seeking all that you've asked me to seek. God, I cash it in today. I cash it in. Oh rasha ba raka. Oh raka.
